In 3 simple steps, you can fit the Tankfreund to your car quickly and reliably. If you have any questions, just get in touch.
Clean
The Tankfreund is fitted to the surface above the filler neck. For the adhesive to hold at its best, the surface must be free of grease and dust, and dry (minimum application temperature 5 °C). This is easy to do with common cleaning products, alcohol or a glasses-cleaning cloth.
Peel off
The Tankfreund comes with a self-adhesive tab. The specially formulated industrial adhesive gives a strong hold on the surface above the fuel cap. Simply peel the protective film off the adhesive area.
Press on
Stick the Tankfreund in the right place above the fuel cap, so that it hangs over the fuel opening. Press the adhesive area down firmly.
Done.
The Tankfreund hangs over the fuel opening and disappears behind the closed fuel flap. The next time the driver refuels, they see the right fuel straight away. The adhesive grips immediately and reaches its full strength after 24 hours.
