When an emergency vehicle is out of action, it is missing exactly where lives are at stake. Shift work, changing drivers, stress and fatigue make reaching for the wrong nozzle a daily risk, all the more so in mixed fleets of diesel and petrol vehicles. The [Tankfreund misfuelling protection](https://tankfreund.de/en/misfuelling-protection) hangs in plain sight above the fuel cap: on ambulances and patient transport vehicles, on police patrol cars, on the command vehicles of fire brigades and THW (Germany's Federal Agency for Technical Relief), and on the cars of care services. Whoever refuels has to lift it and sees the right fuel.

It is GTÜ-tested, fitted in two minutes and, on request, printed with your organisation's logo. More than 10,000 vehicles already run with it, at aid organisations such as the German Red Cross (DRK), Johanniter, Malteser, ASB (Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund) and THW.

How long does fitting take?

Around two minutes per vehicle: clean the surface above the fuel cap, peel off the protective film, press on firmly. No tools needed.

We already have stickers on the fuel cap.

Stickers are easily overlooked. The Tankfreund has to be lifted to refuel; Cambio CarSharing found it “considerably more effective than the usual stickers”.

It hardly ever happens to us.

The Tankfreund works like an insurance policy: a single pump-out costs about as much as Tankfreund tags for 100 vehicles.

Is it also suitable for fire brigades?

Yes, for all cars and vans, such as command cars, command vehicles and crew transport vans. It is not designed for trucks such as fire engines.

Can you do it with our logo?

Yes, with your organisation's logo and text. Design is included, and we send the samples unbranded.
